The Birth

-The DVD has been in working progress since the 1990's and is now widely available. The reason that the DVD came out was the it was a attractive media for movies and data. It could hold a good bit of information like the CD and people wanted it improved. This improvement basically incorporated a few changes only. The main changes between the CD-ROM and the DVD-ROM is the laser and the layers of the disc itself.

-So with that said we need to look at a little of the technology behind the DVD such as Laser's. See below for more information on lasers and how the DVD works.
