How To Change The Colour Of Your Desktop

If you are like most users who purchased a computer recently, you probably have that nasty blue/green background color on your Windows 98 Desktop. Although this color is fairly neutral and your desktop icons look decent on it, you do have the ability to change the desktop color to anything that suits your fancy. Here's how:

1 - Right-click on any blank area of the desktop

2 - Choose "Properties" from the drop down menu

3 - In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Appearance tab

4 - Click on the sample of the desktop.

5 - Click the color button and choose a color from the drop down palette, or select the "other" option. This will let you choose a customized color based on your monitors color display capabilities and your screen resolution.

6 - Click the "Apply" button, then the "Ok" button.
