Greetings Karen. I caught your post in good time so I hope you get it fast enough. I am dabbling with Linux at the moment and by no means an expert, but I do know a little about it. First off Linux comes in many flavors the most popular of these is Redhat. I personally found it a littel hard to use and went with SuSe Linux which is cheaper and easy for the Windows newbie to install and configure. There are some ups/downs to Linux. Make sure first off that you are not using a Winmodem! This can be a real problem when wanting to connect to the internet with Linux. In general I have found the lower end the system is you have the better for Linux. SuSe seems to have much more support for peripherals out there and is also cheaper. We will have a article up in the next few days discussing installing Linux in detail. I hope I provided you with some insight and wish you luck. There are many sites along with SuSe that offer more than enought information. Try looking into www.suse.com or www.redhat.com .. Read more about the hardware compatibility first! Make sure you system can support the new O/S.
Take Care

Everytime I want to log onto the Internet or access my email, I get the message telling me to go to Content Advisor. To log on I have to go through Tools, Inter options, Content, Settings, enter a password, general, put the tick in the top box (Users can see sites with no ratings (under USER OPTIONS)), then appy and OK it all. Why is my computer suddenly making me do this and how can i correct this problem?? Any help would be gratefully received!!
