Linux is a shame. You are opening yourself up to many problems. If you do install it make sure and have Windows to run jockey with it!!

After setting up a computer sent through the mail from my brother-in-law (one he built himself) the screen displayed a page with a list of monitor types (Monochrome, Analog, VGA, Multiscanning, etc) the first option being "No Signal" which is hi-lited. I can't select anything else with the mouse or keyboard arrow keys. Can't do anything but reboot. I've checked all the cables. What else should I do?
