I used to be a tech, until I got into programming a few years ago. I've succesfully built many systems... Until now. I went to upgrade one of my systems, and have had nothing but trouble. In one week, I've gone through 3 440BX Slot 1 ATX motherboards... I'm trying to install a P3 450mHz CPU, and PC100 64 MB DIMM. The problem I'm having is, no matter WHAT I do, within 30 seconds, the system locks up. Memory was suspect, so I went to a shop, and tried 4 different DIMMs, and the system still locked up. So, if it isn't the MB, or the DIMMs, can I suspect the Intel P3??? I don't know what else it could be. Please help! Thanks.

i was hooking up my system. it is amd duron cpu. i connected the motherbaord, cpu, memory and video card. I started up my pc and it was working fine. i didn't knwo what was altered on the motherboard, so i shut off the pc and clear the bios via jumper, now the computer won't start and I am thinking i killed the power supply. what do you think?
