Windows 98 Tips - Deleting Files with Right Click

Deleting Files From The "Open" Dialog Box

Most users rely on the Windows Explorer in "Explorer View" or "Folder View" when wanting to delete files from their system. In most 32 bit applications that were designed for Windows 95/98 however, there is an easier way, especially if you discover a file that needs deleting while performing an "Open File" operation. Here's how:

1 - While working in your application, select "Open" from the file menu

2 - Navigate to the folder that contains the file you wish to delete.

3 - Single click to highlight the file

4 - Press the delete key on the keyboard and respond "yes" to the prompt.
